Enduring, book 2 of the Surviving series. This book started where Surviving (book 1) left off. As the story continues, with Emma found almost dead on the alley, things get more interesting. With all the threats and problems happening, Emma and Trace's life will get more intense. I love how as the story goes, got me hooked all throughout! Loved it!! Not sure if there's more book/s coming but I hope the would be! LOL!
The second book starts right after the end of the first book – Emma was shot and left for dead in an alley. Was it her father? No one knew because she couldn’t remember a thing.

Soon allegations were pointing out to Trace because of his past. But Emma trusts him implicitly. She knew Trace wouldn’t do anything to harm her. It has to be her dad. While recovering, she stays with Trace. But a whole lot of problems seems to plague them endlessly. And it seems Emma wasn’t just the target. Now they just have to figure out who wants to harm them…

It’s not only Emma and Trace, but there’s Danny and Emma’s friend too. I love her wit and sass, and the both of them are just fun to read about. I see the love and concern coming from Trace, it must drove Emma crazy, but he just wants her safe, and he earned a lot of points for that. He will do anything so that harm wouldn’t come near her.

The second book had me hooked because the mystery is about to unfold. There were a lot of twists and turns, and I had some idea who might that be, only to find out I was wrong. Yep, Michelle Leigh surprised me. There were things I didn’t see coming.

I was gutted when surviving ended on a cliffhanger, I couldn’t wait to get stuck straight into Enduring to see where Emma and Trace’s story took us next.

Emma was shot by her father and left for dead at the end of surviving, we assume that is the only threat but quickly realise that isn’t the case and there are other forces working against them.

I had a niggling feeling of who was responsible for there events that kept happening in this story. This book kept me on my toes trying to figure everything out and kept my interest throughout. Although there were still some issues with the editing it didn’t take much away from the story and i still wanted to read on and find out what happened with this couple.

I really hope we get a book from Danny, he has an air of mystery surrounding him and I’m intrigued to see what he has been through after leaving Emma. Hopefully he and Samantha will end up together but if not I would like Sam to get a book of her own.
This is a contemporary romance. The continuation of surviving, it is not meant to be a stand alone. This is for adults only due to the sexual content. I still love the relationship between Emma and her brother, and I would love to know more about him and his story. This is a fast paced romance, one that is love at first sight, and when you almost lose it well.... you want to grab on to it and never let go. I would love to read more about their future.

Emma is shot and can not remember who shot her. Is it a blessing or a curse? Speculations fly and the authorities are pointing fingers at Trace. Or course Emma defends Trace, she knows that it wasn't him. Trace offers to take care of Emma during her recovery and she gladly accepts. Now they need to make the police look for the real person who shot her. But circumstances change and they may get some much needed answers.

With an intelligent ending, the book makes us travel with the characters etched to portray realistic persons and situations without pulling our interest down or quickly flipping the pages to reach the end.

The author, Michelle Leigh deserves the credit for nicely written books with absorbing story line. Surviving and Enduring is certainly a must read for its subtle romance and intriguing thriller elements
