It was a struggle for me to get through this book.I only read the story of Heather which thankfully ended at 55%. I did not read the following story about Lena.
I could not get a feel for Heather or Ranie. There just wasn't much to them. They seemed very cardboard like and easily forgotten.
The story was choppy and jumped from one scene to another. The formatting was horrific. No spacing between back and forth conversations. A new chapter would show up at the end of a sentence and not spaced at all.
The dialogue was written in what I took to be Old English...whatever it was, I found it very hard to understand what was being said and found myself rereading sentences several times. That was distracting as well as irritating. I like some dialect in a story,but I don't like to be overpowered by it.
The story was weak. Seemed that the author stuck unimportant things in for some reason or another.
For example, what purpose to the story did Bryan(the guy in the forest) and his pet wolf have??
I don't give many 1 star reviews, but this story of Heather deserves it. A most unenjoyable read

I tried, but could not even force myself to finish this story. Very poorly written. Fun underlying concept, just poorly executed.
I read time travel books a lot. I was pleased with this one because it had a different twist on what has been too many times the same story with the name changed kind of a thing. I'll be reading the next one when it comes out.
I liked this story all in all. It was written well but was easy to get lost in the time traveling back and forth. But I would recommend it to anyone especially those readers like me that love history and castles.
I absolutely loved this story. Loved, loved it. I was completely drawn into this story; not putting down the book until I finished the last word. I would highly recommend this book to everyone!!!
